Safety Information
Red flags flying in the village green (cnr Jacks Pass & Conical Hill Roads) indicate all tracks are closed because of extreme fire danger.  Report all suspicious fires immediately.  Dial 111.

Standard Road Rules apply in this forest

  • please keep left at all times
  • always wear a helmet
  • beware of foresty vehicles using roads
  • forest management signs must be obeyed at all times
  • stay on designated mountain bike tracks or roads
  • slow down and give way to other forest users
  • remember Hanmer Springs is an alpine environment, carry appropriate clothing and equipment
  • riders take responsibility for their own safety, track conditions may change, ride with caution
