Hanmer Springs, New Zealand's alpine spa village, nestles amongst forests and hills encircled by the mountains of the Southern Alps. Voted Best Visitor Attraction (for 3 years) and winner of the 2006 Distinction Award at the New Zealand Tourism Awards, Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa is the natural place to unwind.
The variety of thermal pools range in temperature from 34˚ - 42˚C which ensures there is something for everyone. Surrounded by native landscaping the thermal waters of the pools contain a wide variety of minerals including sulphur, sodium chloride, calcium, carbonates, magnesium, potassium and others which can help your body repair and rejuvenate.
Children are well catered for with a family activity area that has waterfalls, animal slides and heated waterslides that offer hours of entertainment.
Nothing is more indulgent than soaking in natural hot pools, pampering the body with a massage or beauty treatment, relaxing in the sauna and steam room or retreating to your own private thermal pools.
There is a delightful café and bar on the premises as well as a picnic area.
Open daily 10am – 9pm.
The whole complex may be hired for functions, groups or conference programmes, outside these hours, for exclusive use.
